Honeymoon and stuff

Apart from that we had a wonderful time just doing nothing and staying at luxurious resorts! (Pictures on the next posting, too lazy to download them now, plus it takes ages to do so!)
On Monday, I went to the opening of the Pharamond, an old bistrot which has been build for the 1900 "exposition universelle" as part of the Normandy house. They were serving the tripes à la mode de Caen and other stuff from the region. It has been taken over a few month ago by Sylvain, former number 2 at l'Ami Louis. He went to great deal of refurbishment to give the place the glitter it once had. And he did a good job at it! Ceramic tiles advertizing the local products have been washed, a new floor and a good coat of paint laid. It can seat up to 85 people and the second floor is were you find private rooms with a bell to call the waiter! Just like Lapérouse! The food served is, of course, traditional bistrot and having seen the menu, the price will range in the 50-60€ per head. The bouchée à la Reine with fresh mushroom and sweet bred will be a hit, I'm sure.
That was a wild evening and I met a few people from various horizons such as the Captain of the C.R.S. n°1, the guys that are in charge of the Elysées Palace. Louis was there too and we finished our night with Sylvain, his wife Dominique and Roderick at Chez Denise for a 4:30am Tartare! I don't even know how I got back home but I did. As somebody said "OK drink driving is bad, but you have to get back home".
